Grass Roots Tour comes to Glasgow

The Grass Roots Tour is coming to Port Dundas on the 19th September.

What is it?

The Grass Roots tour’s main aim is to encourage all local riders to meet each other and to hook up with riders from other parks.  There’s a big emphasis on having fun during the day and progressing everyone’s riding.

The Glasgow Wakepark event kicks off at 10am on Saturday 19th September with practice sessions until 3pm, when the competition starts.

Who will be there?

Pros CK Coester and Tim Woodhead alongside sponsors O’Brien, Neff, Industry Wake Parks

Until 3pm, it is free riding on the Seistec cables with a few pro demos mixed in and pro coaching on hand to help improve rider’s skills. All the people who enter are encouraged to ride as much as possible all morning and it is great for growing the local community vibe at the park. Once mid afternoon comes all the riders get split into various divisions and the comp starts. In the comp each rider gets 3 passes with unlimited falls to impress the judges. The divisions are aimed at the first timer to the seasoned pro.

There are loads of prizes to hand out and there is an official prize giving after each competition finishes.

We’re currently trying to sort out food but it might be best to bring a packed lunch.  There’s going to be music all day and lots going on so it’s looking like  a great day out.

After Party!

We’re finishing off the day with an after party at the Flying Duck Club, 142 Renfield St, Glasgow which kicks off at 7.30pm

We’re Back!

After a month of preparation and staff training we are well under
way for 2015.

We’ve been keeping super busy whilst the weather warmed up, making improvements to the shop and obstacles and getting our brand new team up to speed.

This summer all our core coaching team are fully certified with the BWSW System 2.0 Instructors Licence PLUS the UKCC Level 2 Coaching Certificate in Cable Wakeboarding.

The park is already busying up with regulars and new faces so get booked in for one of our learn to ride practices or progression sets. It’s going to be a great season!
